ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assumes responsibility for the proper organization and functioning of personnel in respective groups. Supervises maintenance of all safety and code requirements of the state, local, and Board of Education guidelines. Reviews normal work orders for proper control of routine and emergent work. Requisitions needed material, equipment, and parts. Conducts group meetings in order to enforce the use of all applicable safety regulations. Serves as employee performance evaluator and counsels employees regarding work performance. Promotes good labor relations and resolves unsettled grievances. Maintains on call status 24 hours a day. May be required to drive a company vehicle to perform certain job duties to any location within the District. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Appropriate technical training. Five years of experience in maintenance work of which at least two years has been spent exhibiting a proven ability to supervise and lead relatively large groups of people. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
