Mrs. Yashonda Goodwin

Welcome to a stimulating and exciting new school year at Paul Knox Middle School. I am excited about the opportunity to interact with you and your child this year! I believe that every child is unique and needs an environment that is secure and challenging! I earned my Bachelor of Education from the University of South Carolina and earned my Master's Degree from Southern Wesleyan University. I am highly qualified in middle school science, and I am also certified to teach gifted and talented individuals.  I enjoy photography, spending time in nature, reading books, cooking, and listening to a variety of music.  I have a thoughtful husband, two compassionate sons, and reside in Graniteville, SC. My family and I enjoy observing hummingbirds that come to visit our backyard each summer.  My family also enjoys visiting Hilton Head and spending time in the mountains of Gatlinburg. We have fun going to the Family YMCA, fishing, and watching sports together.

I want to encourage you to be the positive change that you would like to see in others. Martin Luther King Jr. stated that "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward". Remember that learning is a process. Always have a desire  to learn something new and help someone along the way.   The best way to contact me is through email at ygardner@acpsd.net. Moreover, please feel free to contact me by phone at PKMS at (803)442-6300. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your child this year.

        Sincerely,

        Mrs. Goodwin
