Welcome to South Carolina! My name is Ophelia Mixon and I look forward to working with the students and parents again here at Jackson Middle.  I was born in Charleston, South Carolina, but raised and educated in Colleton County.  This is my eleventh year of teaching history, but my eighth year at Jackson.  It is my goal to make history fun and interesting, but most importantly, to create informed students who will learn to become productive citizens in their communities.
