Scrub and Rinse: East Aiken School Of the Arts Students Learn Proper Hand Hygiene Techniques
Covering your mouth, washing your hands and not touching things with germ-ridden hands were some things East Aiken School of Arts students learned with a little skit.
As part of Patient Safety Week, staff from Aiken Regional Medical Centers spent Tuesday afternoon teaching about 80 first-grade students the importance of hand hygiene.
“We all just put our heads together and said it would be an amazing, impactful opportunity for our young kids to teach them something so simple that is really instrumental to the health and the wellbeing of the community," Aiken City Councilwoman Andrea Gregory said.
