Designed to make nutrition education fun and entertaining, Chartwells chefs and dietitians have worked together to create curriculums that get students cooking, trying new foods, and learning about what they’re eating. Each month has a different theme and activities will be adapted to the current meal programs. Check out our calendar below to stay up to date on monthly themes!

Beginning October 24th, enjoy a sneak peek into Discovery Kitchen as we begin sprinkling in a handful of fun and engaging events in select Aiken County elementary schools. Then, beginning in January, join us as we implement these programs in schools across the district! Keep an eye out for Chef Taylor as he travels the district preparing new and exciting recipes for students to sample throughout the year.

Every Wednesday, elementary school students are encouraged to participate in Lucky Tray Day. After grabbing lunch from the cafeteria, students with a lucky tray will get to choose a prize from a treasure box full of goodies during lunch!
