Ms. Sylvia Gay

Greetings, NAMS' students and parents.  It is with great joy that I introduce myself, Sylvia Gay, one of the administrators serving you for the 2023-2024 school year.

As a product of Aiken County Public Schools , I attended Gloverville Elementary, Jefferson Junior High, Leavelle McCambell Middle School, and Midland Valley High School. [Ooopppsss, I'm telling my age ;) ]  After graduating from MVHS, I became a PACER, graduating from USC-Aiken with a Bachelor in Elementary Education.

The next chapter of my life included teaching middle level science for 7 years at PKMS.  While teaching science, I pursued a Master of Education in Leadership and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.   For the next 14 years, I served as an Assistant Principal at ACPS.

During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My grandbabies are the loves of my life. I also enjoy traveling to various casinos.  My favorite food is Chick-fil-A and my favorite candies are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Demet's Turtles.

It is my mission to ensure every student receives a quality education.   I look forward to partnering with every student, teacher, parent, and community member to ensure every student is successful and a life-long learner.
