Hello! My name is Teresa Foy. I was born in Peru, and moved to the U.S. at the age of 5, where I was raised in Rhode Island. I speak both Spanish and English fluently. I served active duty in the Navy for 7 years, and loved every minute of it. However, I missed the classroom and working with children every day, so I decided to return to teaching. My husband, Lucas, and I have just moved to South Carolina from Maryland with our two dogs, Ellie and Duke, and two cats, Sylvie and Jax. We are all loving it down here, the weather included! When I am not on a run in my spare time, you can probably find me somewhere with a book, reading, or off planning my next travel adventure!

I have my Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences degree from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Arts in Teaching Early Childhood Education degree from Towson University. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, First and Second grade and loved them all. Although this is my first year here at Ridge Spring Monetta, I am super excited to be a part of our school family and I am looking forward to a great year together!
