Hi everyone! My name is Kaleigh Busbee and I am your new 6th/7th grade Math teacher at LBC! I am so happy to start this new journey at LBC and begin creating meaningful relationships amongst students, parents, and peers. I am a firm believer that student achievement is attainable through collaboration and support from others. As a team, we will all be working together to ensure academic growth for our students in our classroom. I have many fun ideas and things planned for our class throughout the school year and am really excited to get this year started and on its way!

To start off, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself both personally and professionally. I was born and raised in North Augusta, SC and graduated from North Augusta High School. After graduation, I attended Spartanburg Methodist College where I played softball for two years (attending the Juco World Series) and graduated with my Associates of Science. Once my journey ended at SMC, I decided to return home where I attended The University of South Carolina- Aiken and received my Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I continued my education online through Grand Canyon University, where I received my Master’s in Secondary Education (Math & Physical Education). I love that, through this profession, I am able to help sculpt students into young adults and help them become successful members of our community. On a more personal level, I have a 3-year-old daughter who is full of energy and attitude. I love spending time with her along with traveling to new places, watching/playing sports of any kind (Go Gamecocks!), and spending time with my family and friends.
