• ART 6

The purpose of this course is to introduce the students to the basic fundamentals of art in which they can expand their visual arts knowledge and skills. The principles and elements of design play a key role in this course.  Manipulative and organizational skills will be challenged through various art ideas, color theories, and problem-solving concepts.  Art history will also be incorporated so that the students will understand how art reflects, records and shapes history in every culture.

  • ART 7/8

Students will refine their ability to communicate visually, manage a wide range of tools and materials, and achieve quality, style, and skills in drawing, painting, perspective, sculpture, and pottery/ceramics. Students will learn methods of how to self-critique and evaluate their work as well as other students’ artwork.  Art history from other cultures will be studied more in depth and the students will understand how those techniques relate to the styles in artwork of modern times.
