Mrs. James

Welcome Scholars!  I teach AP Human Geography and AP United States History. I'm also the Academic team coach. I have been teaching at ASA and Aiken County Public Schools for 5 years.  Overall, I have been teaching for 20 years and hold a Bachelors degree in Geography and a Masters degree in Social Studies Education from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where I was a member of the Carolina Marching Band!  I'm originally from Clifton, New Jersey, which is about 10 miles outside of New York City.  Throughout my career, I have taught in the New York City suburbs, the Washington D.C. suburbs and rural Virginia.

My passion in life is world travel and learning about other cultures.  When I was in college, I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France and have traveled to more than 20 countries on four continents!  I live in North Augusta with my husband, daughter and our two shih tzu's.  In my free time, I enjoy working out, yoga, biking and watching Carolina sports.  Go Gamecocks!

All course information, including lesson plans can be found on my Schoology page.  Please feel free to contact me at any time at ljames@acpsd.net.
