SFC(R) Mervin Watford

Sergeant First Class Mervin F. Watford is a native of Blackville, South Carolina. He attended Blackville-Hilda High School and upon graduating, entered into the United States Army in July of 1987 as a Telephone Central Office Repair Man.

Sergeant First Class Watford has held various leadership positions throughout his career in the Army from team leader, squad leader, platoon sergeant, and Medical Recruiting Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge.

Sergeant First Class Watford has attended several military schools such as the Senior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Center Leaders Course, Recruiting Advanced Leaders Course, Health Care Recruiting Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, and Structured Self Development Level 4.

Sergeant First Class Watford is a NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association) Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Veteran Fitness Operative.

Sergeant First Class Watford awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service medal, Army Commendation medal, Army achievement medal, Good conduct medal, the Recruiting badge (gold), the Recruiting Ring, and The Recruiting Glen E. Morale award for Recruiting Excellence.

Sergeant First Class Watford has four children.
