As we all move into our new year, I am excited to inform you that a new class is offered in the Career and Technology Department.  I will teach Marketing (5421) this semester, and this class will mark the beginning of a new Career Pathway for us at Wagener-Salley High School.  Students will now have additional Career Readiness and Career Cluster completion opportunities in the Business Management and Administration Cluster area. 

 

So, if you are interested in all things business-related, this may be the course path for you!

 

Along those same lines, I wanted to let you know about our Wagener - Salley DECA organization.  DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.  Through participation in community service, advocacy, ethics and competitive events, students will have the opportunity to apply what is learned in class and apply it to action. DECA is a CTSO (Career and Technology Student Organization).

 

I am pleased to be the Advisor for our DECA Chapter.  If you are interested or have questions about DECA, please see me in Room 232.
