Hello,

And welcome to my web page. I went to college for Fine Arts and satisfied all my  requirements within two years. After some exploration I turned to education. Therefore, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a certification in Art.

Art teaching positions were scarce, so my life took a different turn. I was always teaching, whether it be after school art, skiing, horseback riding, piano or a variety of other extracurricular activities. Once I became a mother, I was more interested in a compatible schedule with my child and pursued Special Education.

Most of my career was in Special Education and upon retirement, I became restless and bored and applied for several art teacher positions in Aiken County Schools.  I was interviewed and hired within 24 hours. I feel blessed to be here at Redcliffe Elementary.

I worked with Aiken Center for the Arts, created an afterschool art program for a private school in Barnwell, SC. but, Redcliffe has been a valuable experience  and I feel I have found my true niche. I look forward to continuing my education so I can bring valuable lessons to the Redcliffe students.
