    National Junior Beta Club

The National Beta Club was started over 80 years ago at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  Dr. John Harris founded the organization with the notion that students needed to understand the importance of service to their community and nation.  This prestigious club has continued to live up to the legacy of its founder’s vision and in turn has had some of our most celebrated world leaders as its members.

The Junior Level of this organization aids in the introduction of the Beta ideals to its members.  Activities are directed by the club’s sponsor to engage students in service learning activities.

At Schofield Middle School students who are members of the organization must maintain the average of 85 in each academic core subject and most possess great character in and out of school.  Club membership is offered twice during the year at Schofield.

Mrs. Terri Whetstone serves as the club’s advisor.
