  • 8TH GRADE DANCE - The 8th grade semiformal dance will be held on Friday, May 24th from 5:30-8:30 pm at NEMS.  The dance is by invitation only.   Outside guest approval forms must be submitted to Mrs. Dugar by Tuesday, May 21st.  The cost is $30 and Ms. Cannon will collect money for the dance before morning announcements and during advisory until Thursday, May 23rd.

  • NEMS BAND EARNS SC BAND DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD - It's official!!! NEMS Band has earned the Outstanding Performance Award once again!!! "On behalf of the South Carolina Band Directors Association, it is my pleasure to congratulate the New Ellenton Middle School Band on earning the Outstanding Performance Award for the 2022-2023 school year. The OPA is the most prestigious award that SCBDA gives each year to South Carolina band programs. Your school's band program performed at a very high level in all SCBDA events including All-State and Region Band, Concert Performance Assessment, and Solo and Ensemble and earned enough points to be recognized as one of the top bands in the state.
