South Carolina Band Directors Association Junior Outstanding Performance Award
"It is the highest achievement for bands in South Carolina. To receive this award, you must have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in all areas of the program. Points were earned for success in Region and All-State Honor Bands, Concert Performance Assessment, and Solo & Ensemble Festival."
Each event demonstrates a different skill of our program. Region and All-State demonstrate the skill of individual players, CPA demonstrates the skill of the entire ensemble and their preparation for the event, and Solo & Ensemble demonstrates the ability of students to prepare solo or small group performances.
We maxed out the possible points in each category. We had 13 students participate in Region Band and two in All-State, scored Superior at CPA, and had 30 Superior and 5 Excellent scores at Solo & Ensemble.
