• As the Self-Contained Lead Teacher at East Aiken School of the Arts, I will work directly with 8-12 students and, we will all work very closely with our classroom Paraprofessionals. The Paraprofessionals will collaborate with me throughout the school year to ensure that each student receives daily specialized education: utlizing new concepts, reviewing materials, and asking questions to evaluate a student's learning. This will be accomplished by working with students through one-on-one, small and whole group activities; engaging students in daily living skills, functional, and academic skills. Skills will be obtained through the use of Unique Learning Systems curriculum, as well as several other teaching resources, such as: Early Literacy Skill Building and Touch Math, but not limited to these resources.

Students will participate in daily specials:

    Monday - PE

    Tuesday - Art

    Wednesday - Music

    Thursday - Dance

    Friday - Drama

Breakfast will be eaten in the classroom and lunch will be eaten in the school cafeteria.

    Thank you,

    Rachel Harris
