 Classroom Clip Chart

In my classroom I use a Clip Chart to help monitor the behavior of the students. Students begin the day on “Ready to Learn” and move their clothespin up or down during the day depending on the choices they make regarding their behavior. 

CONSEQUENCE: When a student does not follow the classroom rules, the teacher will choose an appropriate consequence for their behavior.

INCENTIVES: When a student makes strong choices, the teacher will choose an appropriate positive reward. 

OFFICE/PARENT CONTACT:  If a student continues to defy the classroom rules, then the parents will be contacted and/or the student will be sent to the office.

At East Aiken School of the Arts, we utilize a school-wide discipline system called Acting Right. Each student is expected to: -Control his/her body -Control his/her voice -Use his/her imagination -Concentrate -Cooperate
