My name is Leslie Kirkland.  I am in my fourth year as a Literacy Coach at Jefferson Elementary!  I have earned a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina at Aiken, and a Masters in Elementary Education from University of South Carolina at Aiken. I also received my National Boards Certification in Literacy.  I have taught in Aiken County for 19 years. Previously, I was a classroom teacher in 2nd, 3rd and Kindergarten.  I look forward to supporting teachers in research-based literacy instruction at Jefferson Elementary.

I am married to Kyle Kirkland. We have three children Addison (21), Grayson (4), Emersyn (2 years). We love camping and all things outdoors!
