Hi, my name is Haley Koon, and I am a kindergarten teacher at Jefferson Elementary.  I taught in Charleston County School District for five years before I came to JES. I taught 1st Grade and 2nd Grade there. Since I came to Jefferson, I have taught 3rd Grade and kindergarten. 2023-2024 will be my eleventh year teaching, and I enjoy it more each year! I was raised here in North Augusta, SC where I attended Hammond Hills Elementary, Paul Knox Middle, and North Augusta High Schools. I graduated high school in 2008, and I went on to attend the College of Charleston. I majored in Early Childhood Education, and I received my degree in 2012. I have begun taking graduate courses to apply towards earning my Masters Degree. I currently live in Warrenville with my husband, three daughters,and my son. I enjoy watching Georgia Football, working on my small hobby farm where I have a mini horse, chickens, dogs, cats, goats, and a rabbit, spending time with family, cooking, and shopping! I am looking forward to spending time with my family and relaxing during this short summer ahead. I look forward to teaching a new group of kindergarten babies next school year!
