Dear A.L. Corbett Lions Family:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you, our student athletes, families, friends, and alumni to another great year of A.L. Corbett Athletics. We are very excited and encouraged to provide all of our students with numerous athletic and extracurricular activities to promote every student/athlete’s potential. Our Athletic Philosophy is to build character, develop a winning mentality, understand discipline, be selfless, and become something greater as a team than themselves. We will stress teamwork, integrity, self-discipline, perseverance, and hard work. We will strive to simply be a better person. WINNING is great and our goal is to win every athletic contest but more importantly we have to win in life. We have to win in the classroom, with our behavior, with our faculty, with our peers, and in our community. This will prepare us for the real world. “Student Athlete” …Student comes before Athlete for a reason. All of our children need to understand the value of a good education. A.L. Corbett teachers and coaches will maintain regular communication to support our student/athletes both in the classroom and the playing field. This is a vital building block for athletes to understand that future endeavors in sports begin with Academics First. As the Athletic Director at AL Corbett, I look forward to working with you and your student athlete. Our goal is to provide all children with opportunities to meet their full potential.
