My name is Parrish Deans and I am the Athletic Director and Middle School PE Teacher at AL Corbett Middle School.  I am the head football coach at AL Corbett Middle School.   I am the head golf coach at Wagener Salley High School.  I also assist the Varsity football program at Wagener Salley High School.  I attended Newberry College and received my BS in Physical Education in 1999.  I received my first Masters Degree in 2007 from Columbia College in Divergent Learning.  I became National Board Certified in 2009 in Physical Education and renewed my National Board Certification in 2019.  I received my Masters plus 30 in Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2011. I have been teaching for 22 years and coaching for 23 years.  This is my 6th year at AL Corbett teaching, my 7th year at Wagener coaching and I taught and coached at Pelion for 16 years.  We have implemented a Bass Fishing Program in Wagener and we are exploring options of incorporating Competitive Archery.  

I have a beautiful wife and her name is Sandy.  We have been blessed with 5 wonderful children, 1 great son-in-law, and 2 amazing grandsons.  Our children are Brittany , DJ. Sami, Alli. and Lexi. My oldest is Brittany and she is married to Justin and they have two sons: Grayson and Nolan.  Sandy and I are truly blessed with an amazing family.  In our free time, we love spending time together as a family fishing, traveling, outdoor recreation, and pulling for the South Carolina Gamecocks and all the Boston Teams.  We love the Gamecocks and Redsox.

This summer I plan to continue working with the AL Corbett athletics program, Wagener Salley Athletics, and take some time to go traveling and fishing with my family.  We are also going to enjoy time at home teaching our twins how to swim and ride a bike.  We will also play a lot of golf.
