Welcome to all of you who are new visitors to my page! My name is Dee Sanborn. The 2023-2024 school year continues the exciting journey of my teaching career with the AIS Explorers in Camp Adventure as I teach ELA! I came to AIS in 2022 having completed 14 years of teaching 2nd and 3rd grades at Chukker Creek Elementary. I also have four years of prior experience teaching in preschool and kindergarten. I earned a BS in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a MS in Elementary Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I grew up in North Augusta, South Carolina and attended Hammond Hill Elementary for 1st through 5th grades, Paul Knox Jr. High School for 6th through 8th grades, and North Augusta High School for 9th through 12th grades. As a product of Aiken County Public Schools, I feel blessed and honored to give back to the children who are the bright future of our community.  I now live in Warrenville, South Carolina with my husband and our dog, Zeke. My husband, Rich, is a Senior Team Leader at E-Z-Go Textron in Augusta, Georgia and our son, Tyler, is a B2B Sales Rep for Jasper Engines in North Augusta. My greatest desire is for you to embrace all of the new experiences we will have throughout the school year and make lots of wonderful memories of your 6th grade year!
