Mrs. E. Denise McCray - Principal

Dear Aiken Intermediate Family,

I am proud and honored to serve as your principal. This school year begins my 33rd year of service in the education field. Educating young people and serving families is my passion. I am grateful for the opportunity to employ that passion with the learning community of Aiken Intermediate School.

We are looking forward to an exciting school year at Aiken Intermediate School. The middle school years are an important time to build new relationships, explore different interests, and develop scholarly habits. At Aiken Intermediate School, we will focus on developing the whole child by placing an emphasis on social and emotional learning for transition from an elementary to middle grade environment. Our goal is to develop confident, well-rounded students.

The administrative team, faculty and staff are ready to help students reach the goal of becoming college-and career-ready. We look forward to supporting students as they navigate sixth grade and feel confident that they will meet the high expectations set at Aiken Intermediate School.

Parents are their children’s first and most important teachers. Please join our PTO and/or School Improvement Council to volunteer at OUR school. We look forward to strong parental involvement; we want to hear from you! Your voice and support are vital to our success. Together we make a strong team.

Thank you for entrusting us with your most valuable asset, your children.

Warmest Regards,

Denise McCray

Principal
