The Paul Knox Middle School is a unified club for students with and without special needs. Paul Knox is excited to be recognized as a Special Olympics Unified Champion School and the Buddy Club is a crucial part to that equation.
The Buddy club partakes in a couple of beneficial activities that give them meaningful experiences while also engaging with the special needs population at Paul Knox. Buddies have the opportunities to go on field trips. The buddies also have opportunities to enter the special education classroom and spend quality time with the students by helping student's with their work and playing games with the students. The Buddy Club also participates in school wide activities such as the End the R Word campaign that culminates in students taking the pledge to stop saying the R word.
Buddy Club will meet every Thursday during advisory. Students will report to room 420 after announcements.
