Hello! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my expectations for the new school year. I was born and raised in the Augusta area. In my spare time, I love to read a good book, take a walk outdoors with my husband and our dog, Rex, and spend time with my family and friends. I am a graduate of Augusta University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and I recently earned my Masters of Education in Learning Design and Technology from the University of South Carolina. I believe that science learning should be based on scientific inquiry skills and content-based standards and that curriculum should be delivered using a variety of research-based instructional strategies using processes and technologies to improve performance outcomes.

Over the course of this school year, it is my hope that students will develop an understanding for fundamental science concepts so that they will be prepared for their collegiate studies and career goals. This year will be my eighth year at The Bluff and I will be teaching Biology, Marine Science, AP Biology, and Career Readiness. I also serve the school in other capacities as the science department lead teacher, varsity girls' soccer coach, freshman class sponsor, and the FCA club sponsor. I’m excited to meet and teach your students and I am looking forward to having a great 2023-2024 school year at Silver Bluff High School.
