GySgt Frank Carson was born in York, SC and graduated high school from North Buncombe High School in Weaverville, NC.  GySgt Carson enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2000 and retired from active service on 15 May 2020.  During his time on active duty, GySgt Carson served in many billets including field artillery, recruiting, and military occupation specialty instructor.  He was assigned to units at Camp Lejeune, NC, Fort Sill, OK, and Monroe, NC.  GySgt Carson conducted multiple deployments abroad and deployed on three different naval vessels.    In October 2019 he was certified as an NJROTC instructor and this is his fourth school year at Silver Bluff High School.  He completed his Bachelors Degree in HIstory at Campbell University in 2022.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
