After thirty years in education, this is my second year as a high school counselor. I started my career as an elementary teacher followed by nineteen years as a school counselor in elementary and middle school. During my thirteen years as a counselor at Jefferson Elementary, I served as Lead Elementary Counselor for ACPSD and mentor to several new counselors as well. I enjoy helping students, parents, and teachers work together to achieve a common goal. 

My husband and I have been married for 30 years and have two children. Danielle is a 2016 graduate of USC and lives in Atlanta.  Clayton is also a USC grad and lives in Columbia. Our newest baby is a golden doodle named Gus who brings us a lot of joy and a little chaos, too!  I enjoy reading, crafting of almost any kind, and spending time with my family whenever I can! 

No matter their ages, my passion has always been figuring out what motivates my students. Whether that motivation is fueling positive or negative choices, the driving force is always key. I have wanted to be a part of a high school team for a long time and I am thrilled to be a Silver Bluff Bulldog!!
