Mr. Jeffery Williams
Hello. I am in my third year teaching Social Studies at Silver Bluff High School. Formerly, I was the Magnet Coordinator for 6 years at Pompano Beach High School in Pompano Beach, FL. Before taking that position at PBHS, I taught History there and elsewhere for 23 years, while also serving as Social Studies Department Chair, High School Reform Coordinator, and substitute Assistant Principal.
In March of 2020 my wife and I moved from Coral Springs, FL to beautiful Aiken, SC, where we make our home. Our backyard is on the southern edge of Hitchcock Woods, where we see lots of wildlife and grow our own flowers, herbs and vegetables.
There has been one change to my classroom homework policy for the 2023-2024 school year. Students have always had 10 points taken off for each day the assignment is late. That stays the same. However, the change is that after the ten school days have passed, I will NOT accept the assignment. The student has 2 weeks (10 days) to get an assignment in for any credit. Even if it is 10%, after 9 days, it is better than a zero. Have a great school year!
