My name is Cynthia Kenner-Milhouse, and I'm excited about joining A.L. Corbett Middle School for another year, as the School Counselor.  I will also serve as a part of our School Based Leadership Team, Youth Development Team and School Improvement Council.  These are all a vital part of building our school's community and helping to create a nurturing school culture and successful outcomes for all.  With the support of my team, I will be able to deliver a program that is designed to improve our school's academic and social outcomes.   

I've earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Community Health Education from The City University of New York, York College. I then attended Touro College in Brooklyn, NY and earned my initial Master’s degree in Special Education from Tour College in Manhattan, NY.  In addition, I've earned an additional Master’s degree in School Counseling at Alfred University in Alfred, NY.  As a school counselor, my goals are to provide students with memorable small group and or individual counseling.  Students will have the opportunity to engage in SEL lessons and activities to promote and instill effective social skills to help them to build and maintain positive relationships in middle school and beyond.  I've relocated here to the beautiful state of SC to join my family. In my spare time, I enjoy writing poetry, listening to music and cycling.  I'm excited about another year of engaging my students in learning new things and being the best that they can be!
