Does your child need someone to talk to? Need someone to simply listen? Do you have a concern about anything in the life of your child (whether at home or at school)? Here at Aiken Intermediate, we are a family and we believe that the AIS School Counseling Department is the heart of this home. We are here for all of you!

We have two full-time school counselors. Our counselors are here to support your child in all areas of their life: personal, social and academic.

Your first point of contact in the counseling department is our Student Information Clerk, Ms. Stokes.  In addition to being the point person for records and enrollment of new students, she can help you set up an appointment to speak with any of our counselors. Please feel free to reach out to us with any concerns you may have for your child.  We may be reached via email or by phone, and you are certainly welcome to stop by when you are on campus. Students are welcome to send us an email to request an appointment or to come to the office in person to set up a time to be seen.  We have encouraged our students to try their best not to leave during class, but counselors will see students at any time there is an emergency.  We also ask them to bring a pass from their teacher to come to see a counselor.
