• Please submit completed scholarship applications one week prior to deadline to allow time to review and process materials to meet deadlines. If a recommendation letter is needed, please allow two weeks to process.  Request recommendation letters from your assigned counselor and/or teachers. MAKE SURE TO READ ALL DIRECTIONS ON SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS. Each scholarship is different. Some want them sent straight from the counselor, some want information submitted online, some want information submitted by the counselor, etc. Ms. Ryans tries to specify how each application needs to be submitted on the main applications. It is very important to give your counselor and teachers sufficient time to write recommendation letters & THANK THEM!!!

     Check out Aiken County's NEW online scholarship database! Most of these will still be posted in the counseling office. Local scholarships/scholarships unique to WSHS will NOT be on the database and must be picked up in the counseling office.

    The link below is to the Veterans Administration GI Bill website.  For students whose parents have served in the military (Active, Reservist, or National Guard) since 9/11/01, they may be eligible for Education benefits.  If the parent is still active or still in a reserve status, they may be able to transfer their benefits to an immediate family member.
