We are wrapping up our first project! Students have spent the last few weeks honing their blending skills and today they created beautiful drawings of pumpkins using white charcoal pencil on black paper. The result was very striking and each student's work was very unique. 

For the past three weeks, 15 students in grades 3-5 from Clearwater Elementary School and Jefferson Elementary School have been meeting after school to hone their artistic talents. 

Their first topic of study was value and students used pencils, paper, and blending tools to create a variety of different values within an observational drawing of pumpkins.

Stay tuned for more updates! Next week students are looking forward to creating a drawing on black paper with white charcoal of these pumpkins using the skills they've learned so far!
