My name is Jim Staton, everyone just calls me Coach. I am looking forward to a great year here at North Aiken Elementary teaching Physical Education. I am entering my 25th year of teaching, 2nd year at North Aiken, 23rd in Aiken County. I retired from coaching after 35 seasons, just a few years ago. My goal is to introduce our students to the fundamentals of lifetime activities while assisting them to learn as they increase their level of fitness. I am married, my Wife’s name is Lisa, we have three children, seven grandchildren and three dogs. I enjoy serving in our church, spending time with family, traveling, watching sports, playing golf, running and working in the yard. One of my favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 27:19 – “As water reflects face, so one’s life reflects the heart.” and for this year I plan to focus on Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, and not for man.”
