Hi! My name is Mrs. DeAnn Coursey.
To start, here is a little about me. I grew up right here in Aiken County, South Carolina. I attended all 13 years of my public school years within our district! You can say I am deeply invested in our district and the growth of our community! I graduated from Columbia College in 2016, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.
I have been teaching since 2016 and have called North Aiken Elementary School "home" from day 1. I have previously taught both 4th and 5th grade. I love teaching 4th grade ELA because we have the opportunity to start diving deeper into texts using both our reader's and writer's lenses!

I believe in every child there is a leader. I teach because I know that every child has the opportunity to be a global citizen: they can be aware of, collaborate with and be involved with the opportunities that life gives them as they get older.
