Hello,

My name is Bailey Fussell and I will be teaching Learning Strategies this year. I started at Aiken High School in January 2016 after graduating from the University of South Carolina-Aiken with a Bachelor Degree in Special Education (Multi-Categorical) as well as additional teaching certification in Early Childhood Education in December 2015. I have taught students at the middle school level as well as high school students who were on the non-diploma track.

I moved to Charleston, SC in 2003 and graduated from Wando High School in 2010. While in high school, I was in the Teacher Cadet Program and because of my experiences in that program, I decided to become a Special Education teacher. I have always wanted to be a teacher, but as a Teacher Cadet, I learned that I wanted to teach students with disabilities.

I believe that a key component in a student's academic and functional success is efficient communication between the home and school. I will do my best to keep in touch about your child's progress. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I have 2nd and 5th period planning, which is usually 9:22am - 10:13am and 12:44pm - 1:35pm. I will also be available until 4:00pm on most days.

I look forward to a school year full of enrichment and success!
