I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher in Trumansburg, New York and continued my work with students while I attended graduate school in Ohio. Prior to coming to Aiken County, I had the privilege of teaching history at Saluda Middle School in Saluda, SC for ten years. 

My wife Valerie and I have two grown children. Andrew is a banking partner in Ohio, and Rochelle is a teacher in Europe in the nation of Germany with her husband Stefan. She and her husband are parents of my granddaughters Coralynn and Lucia.
