    The purpose of National BETA Club is to promote academic achievement, character, leadership, and service at LBC Middle School.

    Membership is by invitation only and based on academic achievement during the first 9 weeks.

     

    Standards of Membership:

    The academic requirement for membership in the National Junior Beta Club is remaining on the Honor Roll each nine weeks.

    The character and behavioral requirement is to have no more than 1 In School Suspension.  No Out of School Suspensions are allowed.

    The service requirement is to provide 4 hours of community service during the school year.

    If any of these requirements are not met, the student will be placed on probation or dropped from membership.

  • LBC was again named a NATIONAL BETA SCHOOL OF MERIT for 2020!!

     

    LBC has received the following awards for the 2019-2020 school year:

    Beta NATIONAL BETA SCHOOL OF DISTINCTION National Beta School of Distinction Award is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others. With an ongoing quest to instill these qualities in more students, the National Beta School of Distinction Award is designed to award those schools that show an increase in membership for the current school year.

    Beta NATIONAL BETA SCHOOL OF MERIT The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club.
