I have been teaching special education on The Ridge since 1999.  The first 16 years were at RSM Elementary/Middle.  In 2015 I moved across the track and joined the team at RSM High.  I teach there where my beautiful wife, Tiffany, also teaches. Each of our four kids graduated RSM.  My oldest son, Kyle graduated from SWU and is working in Special Education here at RS-M with us.  Miranda graduated from Charleston Southern University as a Nursing major and is the school nurse at RSM Middle High.  Jonathan, graduated in 2019, joined the SC National Guard, and is a senior at Southern Wesleyan University majoring in Special Education.  Mikala graduated in 2021, joined the US Navy, and is serving as an Orthopedic Specialist.  My undergraduate degree is in Physical Education with Coaching Endorsements from Indiana Wesleyan University.  I completed a Master's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Special Education.  Along with teaching, I am the school's athletic director and varsity softball coach.  (Please check out our softball page under athletics.) I believe all students are capable of being career ready and my goal is to provide the best foundation possible for my students to find a fulfilling career.
