Greetings Trojan Families, 

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the proud new principal of Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle/High School for the 2023-24 school year. My name is Matt Shepler and I come to you with 17 years of experience as an educator, with ten years of school administration experience at the middle and high school level. Most recently, I served as assistant principal at South Aiken High School for the 2022-23 school year. It is an honor to serve the Ridge Spring-Monetta community, and I am looking forward to working closely with students, families, faculty, and community members to cultivate a culture of academic excellence. 

My passion for working with students is driven by my desire to serve tirelessly to ensure that our youth meet their potential and realize new possibilities for future success. Along with a team of excellent teachers, counselors, and support staff, we will commit to working as a cohesive unit to provide the absolute best educational experiences for your child. I strive to develop a culture of collaboration where all stakeholders feel valued, empowered, and connected within our school community. Please know that my door is always open and that I will work hard to make myself available to answer any questions, or address any concerns, related to serving your student.
