This 2022-2023 school year is my 17th as a teacher and they have all been at RSM Middle School.  I have taught 6th-8th Social Studies my entire career.

Several people in my family were or are teachers and it was in middle school when I decided that I wanted to be a teacher and I loved history, so here I am!  I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania () in 2004 and I was a substitute teacher for two years before deciding to take the leap and broaden my horizons, which lead me to RSM Middle School! I earned my Masters in American History Degree from American Public University in 2015.
 
I am an Eagle Scout and was an Assistant Scoutmaster for a few years before I moved down to South Carolina.  I was actually with my former Boy Scout troop in the middle of the woods when I first heard about Ridge Spring.

I am a big history, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pirates fan. GO STEELERS and LET'S GO BUCS! 

I am committed to helping students meet their purpose and get the knowledge and skills they need to be successful citizens of their community, state, nation, and world. Let's have another great year!

I was the RSM Middle School Teacher of the Year for 2021. I sponsor both middle school and high school Academic Teams.
