Welcome to 5th Grade! I look forward to teaching Science and Social Studies again this year. I am really excited about getting this school year started. I have lots of exciting lessons and projects planned for this year. I look forward to making this a positive experience for everyone.

I would like to share a little bit about myself. I am originally from California, but have lived in Martinez, GA for the last 31 years. This will be my 34th year of teaching elementary school. I have taught PreK, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, so I am coming with the perspective of knowing what foundational skills have been built prior to students entering 5th Grade. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Central College in Pella, Iowa. I have also earned a Masters and Specialists Degree from Augusta University. I am married and have one daughter (who is also a teacher), a stepdaughter, and a stepson. I also have been blessed with 4 grandchildren.
