Ms. Christina Williams

I have been an educator for thirty- two years and have loved each and every year. My priority is to make sure each child in my class reaches their full potential. I was born in Augusta, Georgia. I attended public schools in Richmond County. After graduation, I went to Augusta State University. I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. I began teaching in Richmond County Public Schools in 1990 and retired in May of 2020. I have taught first grade, second grade, and third grade. I love teaching and cannot imagine doing anything else. I find joy and inspiration each year as I teach children to read. I am an avid reader and try to instill a love of reading in all of my students. In my opinion, teaching is the best career anyone can choose, because it allows you to make a difference in the lives of your students. You are given the awesome responsibility of teaching students to learn to love learning. When a person loves to learn, there is no stopping them, and their future is changed forever!

Parents and teachers are partners in educating our children. You are their first teacher. Working side by side, we will make a great team and can make a huge difference in the life of your child. I have one son who is 26. I know the challenges of raising a child, but the effort is well worth the investment. I look forward to working closely with you this year to help your child to reach their goals and shine like a Gloverville Shooting Star!  I will end with a quote from Spencer Kimball: Growth comes from setting your goals high and reaching for the stars. I am so happy and blessed to be at Gloverville Elementary and look forward to a wonderful school year.
