Mr. Stockton To Join Administrative Team As Assistant Principal For 2023-24 School Year

Mr. Stockton will be joining the administrative team at SBHS as an assistant principal! We are so excited to share this good news with you! Mr. Stockton will transition into this role for the 2023-2024 school year.
 
J. Lance Stockton is a native of Easley, South Carolina, and a graduate of Easley High School. He holds a BA in Music Education from North Greenville University. Mr. Stockton also holds an MA in Educational Leadership from Anderson University.
 
Mr. Stockton is completing his fifteenth year in education and fourth year at Silver Bluff High School as the Director of Bands. During his tenure at Silver Bluff, the band program has grown significantly and received multiple awards at the state level including marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, chamber ensembles, and winter guard. Mr. Stockton has served as a music educator, assistant principal, and district fine arts coordinator throughout his career.
 
He has developed partnerships with the Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, National Network for Partnership Schools, Arts in Basic Curriculum Project, Palmetto State Arts Education, and the South Carolina Department of Education. Mr. Stockton has been a member of the National Association for Music Educators, South Carolina Music Educators Association, South Carolina Band Directors Association, and South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
 
Mr. Stockton is looking forward to transitioning to the assistant principal role and serving the students, staff, and community of Silver Bluff.
