My name is Zuleima Barba, and I have joined the successful team of WL educators at MVHS as a Spanish teacher. I come from the beautiful country of Colombia, in South America. I have been in the educational field for more than twenty years and I have a long trajectory as a language teacher, curriculum developer and researcher in both schools and universities. I graduated as a language teacher and earned a Master’s degree in education with a concentration on educational policies and administration.

I am very passionate about what I do. I have lived and worked in different places around the globe. I love traveling to other countries and learning about the cultures and traditions of the places I visit. I also love learning languages and I strongly believe that learning a foreign language offers new possibilities to explore the world, to get in touch with new cultures, to encourage diversity and to promote tolerance.
