I will be teaching Art 1 and Dual Enrolled Art Appreciation this year. This will be my first official year as an art instructor at Midland Valley, but some of you might have seen me around campus already teaching Art 101 for Aiken Tech last year.  I’ve taught on the college level for 15 years, but recently decided to make the switch to public schools after having so many amazing experiences at Midland Valley. I hold a BFA from Augusta State University, and an MFA from Radford University specializing in Painting and Drawing. I mostly work on a large format melding landscapes, abstraction and figurative elements that are often underpinned by autobiographical and nostalgic themes of my childhood in North Wales and England (my birthplace) in my mixed media paintings.  

I am looking forward to bringing my understanding and interpretations of art-making practices to Midland Valley, working with a vibrant and diverse student body, and being a new member of a talented faculty. Thank you for having me.
