College and Career Readiness

  • Course Update

    The following letter was sent home on Tuesday, February 21st with students in the college and career readiness course. 

    Dear students, parents and guardians,

     

    Starting on Tuesday February 21st, we will be switching from the Work Keys assignments to the ASVAB assignments. There are 4 sections to the ASVAB:

    • Mathematics – one assignment will be due every Tuesday
    • Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension – one assignment will be due every Wednesday
    • Tech and Science Part 1 – one assignment will be due every Thursday
    • Tech and Science Part 2 – one assignment will be due every Friday

     

    The next testing session will be on March 7rh. Students must score a 31 or higher on the ASVAB to meet the CCR indicator. Grades will be posted weekly in PowerSchool. If an assignment is missing and the student has not attempted to complete the assignment within that week a zero will be given and remain in the gradebook.

     

    We are optimistic that by implementing these changes, students will master the skills needed to achieve more successful results in their assessment and can complete the Career Readiness Indicator requirements.
