I am so excited to be teaching Read 180 for the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Jennifer Akins, and I will be working with students 6th-8th grade at JMS. This will be my 5th year with ACPSD. I am married to my husband, Dylan and have two children, one that is a 6th grader and one that is now a senior in high school! I love to travel and stay busy with all things Dance and Baseball.

In the Read 180 course, we will work on building essential literacy skills, improving reading proficiency, and helping your child with their confidence in Reading. There will be daily rotations using their laptops, independent reading time, and a small group time to really sharpen these skills that they will be learning. I am looking forward to an awesome school year and excited for the opportunity to work with your child!
