Ms. Jennifer McMillian
Hello! I am Jennifer McMillian. This is my first year teaching at Jackson Middle, and I am so excited to get to know this community! I have been in education for twenty-four years. In my career, I have worked for Aiken County twenty-three years, and one year in Edgecombe County in North Carolina.
This year, I am teaching STEM and an AVID elective. Previously, I have taught grades 3rd-5th, 6th/7th/8th Grade Science/Health, 7th Grade Math, 6th/7th Grade STEM, and a 6th Grade WIN class. I've also taught summer school for over eight years, and have been the Site Coordinator for Leavelle's summer program for two years. I received my Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Elementary Education from USC-Aiken, my 1st Graduate degree in Natural Science from USC-Columbia, and my 2nd Master's of Science in Educational Leadership from WGU (Western Governors University). I am certified and highly qualified to teach elementary education, middle level science, and middle level math.
I have received over twenty grants for my classroom and multiple honors throughout my teaching career. In 2012, I was Aiken Middle School's Teacher of the Year and Aiken County's Honor Court Member for the Teacher of the Year Program. In 2019, I was Leavelle McCampbell's Teacher of the Year and also Aiken County's Honor Court for Teacher of the Year Program. For nine years, I was an Aiken County Elementary/Middle Level Lead Mentor Teacher. I enjoy teaching students about math, science, and the real world through the 3D model.
I currently reside in North Augusta. I am a product of ACPSD. I attended Clearwater Elementary, LBC Middle, and Midland Valley High School. I have 17-year-old twin girls, Kailyn and Jaden, who are seniors. I enjoy many things including social media, being admin of a singles group on Facebook, selling $5 Paparazzi jewelry on the side, traveling, water sports, volleyball, softball, and spending time with my family and friends.
