    Classroom Rules/Expectations

    CLASSROOM RULES

    • Do what’s asked of you.
    • Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.  RESPECT & Be positive
    • Be kind —NO BULLYING!
    • Follow school, lab, and district rules.

    RESPECT OTHERS

    • Use respectful words and tone of voice when talking to anyone.
    • Leave other people & their property alone.
    • Work to solve problems constructively, without violence or abuse.
    • Keep hands, feet, and objects to self.
    • Follow school,distrcit, and lab rules.
    • Use soft skills.

    BE PREPARED TO LEARN

    • Be in your seat and ready when class begins.
    • Have appropriate materials (spiral notebook or composition book, agenda, pencil/pen/highlighter, etc).

    FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

    • Follow reasonable instructions from adults the first time given.

    DO YOUR BEST

    • Participate positively in class
    • Stay on task.
    • Learn all you can.

    • Warning/Conference with Student
    • Warning/Parent contact
    • Lunch Detention/Contact 
    • After School Detention/parent contact
    • Office referral/parent contact

    *Please note depending on the severity of the discipline, steps can be skipped.

    Student Tips:  How to be successful

    • Use your agenda to record short term and long term assignments. Refer to your agenda before each class period. Strive to turn all assignments in on time; don't forget to refer to my web page.
    • Keep your notes and your handouts organized in your binder.
    • Ask questions in class or meet with me during small group time or email me with questions/concerns.
    • Use tools that help you learn when you study; for example, make flash cards for your science vocabulary words and key concepts.
    • Respect yourself, as well as others and their property.
    • Follow all school rules, science lab safety rules, and district rules. 
    • Stay positive and keep a good attitude!
